Policies
- Deposits: Reservations require a
deposit of 50% of the total rent amount (by check) at time of booking . Confirmation will be mailed out
showing receipt of deposit, dates of stay, balance due, directions to
PapaBears, how to get the keys, etc. Full payment, including
taxes and damage deposit (by check), is required at least 30 days prior to
arrival.
- Minimum Stays:: A
three night
minimum stay is required, except during the Christmas Holidays when a five
night minimum is required.
- Damage Deposit: A $400 damage
deposit is due 30 days prior to arrival. Full refund will be given within two weeks
of check-out providing there are no damages and PapaBears is
left in a reasonable state, i.e. no dirty dishes/pots and pans left in sink, trash is
taken out, etc.

- Cancellation Policy: If a
reservation is cancelled, the entire rent deposit is retained unless PapaBears
is rebooked for the same time frame.
- Check-In/Check-Out: Normal check-in is
3 pm and check-out is 11 am. Exceptions can be made if PapaBears
is unoccupied and clean just prior to arrival and no further cleaning or maintenance is
needed. Guests should call if they desire an early check-in.
- Keys: Keys will be picked up at PapaBears upon check-in. Upon departure, guests should leave their keys
on the dining room table. Lost or stolen keys will be charged to the guests at a
rate of $20 per key.
- NO Pets/Smoking: Sorry, due to
asthma and severe
allergies of some of our guests and family, neither pets nor smoking are
allowed in PapaBears.
The damage deposit will be forfeited if this is violated.
- Additional Information: On
site information is provided at PapaBears regarding
ski areas,
snowmobile rentals, sleigh rides, cross-country skiing, ice skating, bike trips and bike
rentals, hikes, sailing, golfing, club house use, trash disposal, shopping, restaurants,
and other events.
